AQ Parody Video

I can’t help but posting this. In all seriousness, why aren’t we using more ideas like this to fight the infowar? Tactics like the recent ‘butt bomber’ just beg for such parody and are a great means of discrediting al-Qaeda.

Are you seriously suggesting that this would be the way to fight terrorism? Have the State Dept. make satirical/denigrating videos about terrorist leaders?

I am seriously suggesting that America's attempts to fight the information/PR war against Islamic extremists has been a joke.

Other countries such as Saudi Arabia and Iraq have actually mounted fairly decent anti-extremism campaigns which have used both humor and shame. All we've done is start al-Hurra which only we actually watch.

Agree that this may help discredit AQ in cultures like ours but I do wonder how such attempts may be viewed in the Islamic and other non-Western cultures where they may be perceived as denigrating the 'sacrifice of the fallen' and thus have a contrary effect? If Al-Jazzera started running pisstakes of fallen US, UK, NATO, etc soldiers, how well would it go down at home?
And we pay for this… « The World According to Me…

@ CHIROL Gee, who knew? High school-level fag jokes as anti-terrorist propaganda? I've heard homophobia passed off as number things, but this takes the cake.
