Mark Hicks is an award-winning Hollywood stunt man. One day in 2004, jet-lagged and exhausted, he was auditioning for a Nike commercial and unsuccessfully backflipped. Next week the video was up on the Internet and inadvertently became one of the most popular viral comedy clips—and this was in the days before youtube.

The viral popularity of the clip critically damaged Mark’s reputation and his ability to find work. In an attempt to embrace his new reputation and in an effort to save his reputation, he has created a movie with a story based on the character who appears in the clip.

I have the feeling it would have a better story had it embraced a Jackie Chan-style slapstick comedy. But regardless, check out the movie site too.
