Some truly flawless logic is coming out of the Russian judiciary with regards to the appropriateness of sexual harrassment in the 21st century:
A Russian advertising executive who sued her boss for sexual harassment lost her case after a judge ruled that employers were obliged to make passes at female staff to ensure the survival of the human race...“If we had no sexual harassment we would have no children,” the judge ruled.
Since Soviet times, sexual harassment in Russia has become an accepted part of life in the office, work place and university lecture room.
According to a recent survey, 100 per cent of female professionals said they had been subjected to sexual harassment by their bosses, 32 per cent said they had had intercourse with them at least once and another seven per cent claimed to have been raped.
Eighty per cent of those who participated in the survey said they did not believe it possible to win promotion without engaging in sexual relations with their male superiors.
Women also report that it is common to be browbeaten into sex during job interviews, while female students regularly complain that university professors trade high marks for sexual favours.
To quote a journalist friend on the road in East Timor—“Must be the envy of all the world. Think they should use him for the Guantanamo trials.”

Dan tdaxp added these pithy words on 07 Aug 08 at 11:44 amIt appears the judge stated that there was a link between emasculation in the workplace and declining female fertility. Is the claim accurate?
Ralph Hitchens added these pithy words on 07 Aug 08 at 4:59 pmWell, fertility is definitely declining among Great Russians, and I suppose the judge was saying that desperate times call for desperate measures. However, whatever “emasculation” is taking place in the workplace pales by comparison with health factors, such as alcoholism. Too many Russian adult males are simply not very attractive as potential mates.

The Great Russians have been living in the US and elsewhere in exile since around 1917. As for the remainder, they are having fertility problems which coincide with a perennial failure of both leadership and morality on the part of their ruling class.
I would like to reference some of the commentary of General George S. Patton, Jr., in this regard:

Furthermore, I await further discussion of the US and feckless EU cowardice as the polar bear slaps dead a baby seal before our eyes. I can only hope that those with courage in Europe, namely the Baltics, Hungary, and Poland, will bring the cowards to action.
The Russian governing class evidently “has a different interpretation” of international law, as well as domestic.

Thank you for making me laugh out loud in my little boring office!
