Lovely image! Our Weapons Officer (Gun Boss) on my last ship used to send out e-mails with the "before" and "during" artists rendering and paintings of famous naval battles attached during the morning and then his congratulatory brief would have the "after" images. I miss being around so many people who knew so much about naval history and loved to share it with the neophytes like myself.

David Tennant is quite good. I first saw him when PBS aired a recent British television adaptation of Casanova.

Oddly enough, my father is also nearly deaf in his right ear.

Brilliant image of "martial discord" -- truly one of the finest naval engagements in history (though Nile and Tsushima warrant mention too :-).

Interesting that we both share ear problems (though I didn't mention them in my Meme). I've had nearly two dozen middle-ear surgeries, battling cholesteatoma in both ears between the ages of 6 and 21. Though clean for nearly 20 years, I'm nearly deaf in my left ear (this is what kept me out of active military service, despite my best efforts to sign up).
