I saw half of the first season before I moved and no long had showtime. It was good, but a large part of the draw of the audience is not the historical intrique - that I enjoy - but rather the "nudie" aspect. The homosexual angle I found very odd and seemed like they forced it in there for modern politically correct reasons. I felt insulted that they would we think we would fall for whatever its purpose was.
