Pyramid of the Capitalist System

Image randomly found on Wikipedia. It is a 1911 critique of capitalism advocating unionism. I think it reflects nicely how unionism is about “me” getting my gains, and not about the group/humanity at all.

As my grandfather said to my father in the early 60's about the Teamsters Union. "They may be crooks, but at least they make sure I get my taste."

Well, it does say "we" at the bottom...

Criticizing the system is fine. Proposing alternatives is tough. Criticism similar to the above was the major cause of the Soviet revolution and other communist revolutions in the 20th century, but I don't think any created a real alternative to what existed previously.

Doesn't the poster's pyramid actually show Feudalism rather than Capitalism?

Still, it's a strikingly effective piece of propaganda...

No, that's not feudalism - a very different system to the one in the poster.
