BTW, speaking of celebrity endorsements, actor Sean Penn has come out in support presidential candidate Dennis Kucinich.
Penn's ''nonendorsement-endorsement":http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.cgi?f=/c/a/2007/12/08/BA1HTQE1F.DTL urges votes not to select a candidate based on "electibility." Actor-director Sean Penn urged his audience not to fall into the trap of voting for someone only "because they could win...Do we sell out for electability?"
_Penn called Kucinich "the voice of integrity" in demanding the president's impeachment, calling for the end of the war in Iraq and placing human rights and civil rights above domestic security."
Kucinich's British-born spouse is not only 29 years younger than he is, she sports a tongue-stud. Dennis may be smarter than we think. He is definitely appealing to a new demographic.
"I almost didn’t click, out of fear that it would be a photo of HILLARY nipping." Lol!
Can't say I'm surprised about Sean Penn's choice of endorsement. Though you'd think with just barely a year left the Impeachment Drums would cease beating. A rather tedious and single minded platform.
CA readers, I am curious to hear your pick - not who you would vote for, if you are voting, but your best guess as to the result - for POTUS; and second, the degree to which it matters - from the point of view of broad foreign policy - exactly who is elected or from which party, given the geopolitical imperatives that exist right now in the world, in your opinion.
tough question, actually.. they don't have as much in common now that i come to think of it.. i mean basescu would rather come closer to clinton in terms of polarisation of the electorate (or even giuliani) but in terms of issues.. lol.. come on, we're fiddling with democracy here, we're not even in the same league..
