		<description>Regarding your comparison of southern Shia Iraq with Kurdistan, I wouldn't be too surprised if something similar to what happened in the Kurdish north in the 1990s - civil war between rival political parties, eventually stabilizing in an equilibrium, although I'd expect that equilibrium to be longer in coming than it was for the Kurds, as oil smuggling will be able to fund violence indefinitely.</description>
