Honda,Onishi,and now Fukuyama......
Is Japan bashing,a definite necessity to make it big in American society for those of Japanese descend?
I thought this was done for some of them fight for America in WW2 while their families were under "internment".
or is it because Japanese Americans simply want to have good relation with Asian Americans and this is the only way to get thier trust?
And Japanese American admits they know next to nothing about current state on Japan therefore they are not a desirable transmitter of opinions between the two countries?

Anyway Fukuyama speaks and reads no Japanese and he knows more about Israel than Japan.
It is rather hipocritical of him to talk about Watanabe Shouichi,a rightist (not Souichi, and he is indeed a right wing, not even a closet one)for their name was so connected in Japan when "The End of the History"came out and became best seller.
I was also very upset when I read his comment on Japanese high school's fishing vessel Ehiime-Maru got sunked after
a crush with the U.S nuclear subs and Japanese opinion were in rage.
Fukuyama pretty much twisted and distoreted the subject into politics of the apologies over war and Japan have no rights calling for it or sort.(Japanese opinion got upset for the captain of the ship tried to sell the right of his side of the story for TV mini-series.)

Fukuyama had talks with some Japanese guy on rightist Shokun!magazine couple months ago and keep on saying do not make Beijing upset(wondering what that is,for they do make us pretty upset on many things that won't go on print in NYT,maybe that ain't a news that fits to print). While remain silent with Japan's own demand for the security, for he probably never thought about it.And cosidering the JSDF are still in Iraq as logistic support mission,Fukuyama's statement proves how much he is in touch with Japanese reality.
Sort of frightening about the future of the alliances, for Fukuyama was the head of the poicy making in the department of the states back in the day.
End of rant.

Francis Fukuyama gets it wrong again.

I should point out that, skinhead notwithstanding, Mr. Toyama is the anarchist candidate, not the rightist candidate.

Any other Tokyo-ites casting their ballots for Dr. Nakamatsu?

I don't know how seriously he is. But it was a very entertaining "show". I mean I laughed out loudly.

Until the mid ninties, it seems it was cool to be a anachist "ultra left", now it seems to be cool to be "ultra right".

No wonder, that Ishihara becomes wide support.

Now that, is a closing argument.

I also liked where he called out for people who can't vote for him (not adults, don't live in Tokyo) to call him. I wonder if the offer is extended to foreigners as well?
