Below is a great commercial reminiscent of the other “special” ad featured on CA. I love this!

will added these pithy words on 14 Oct 06 at 12:30 amI started seeing that one a few months back. It definetly has an impact.
kb added these pithy words on 14 Oct 06 at 12:52 amThat has “an impact”? In what sense? That folks can leave footsteps while walking backwards into the sea? Yes, I guess you’re correct. I think it’s saying “See? We can slip out of countries which we have no business of being in in the first place.” I just wonder what “impact” it would have if most any other country around the globe was putting out such advertisments. It would probably be considered “a threat to our national security” and steps would have to be taken to “prevent” the insurrection. Yes, I guess it certainly IS an ad with impact. I can just imagine how it would be taken if Venezuela put out an ad showing footsteps in the desert being blown over by sand and catus needles. It would be just the proof necessary to “demonstrate” their aggressive designs on taking over the hemisphere by invading Texas. Sort of like the Sandinistas invading the U.S., which, if you recall, was put forth by the then paranoid in resident, Reagan. Yes, there threats couldn’t be more obvious, at least not for a “realist”.kb
will added these pithy words on 14 Oct 06 at 1:53 amSF’s job is to go where other won’t and do what others can’t. And I have no trouble sleeping at night knowning that I’m on the side that CAN deliver those excellent brutes to anywhere it pleases when it’s competent leadership deems it necessary.

Curzon added these pithy words on 14 Oct 06 at 3:38 amThe fade out is lame. It would be more impressive if the wave washed up, hit the camera, and then retreated to the sea, and we see the footprints only then, implying that in the split seconds the camera was obscured by the wave, the SEALs appeared on the beach.
subadei added these pithy words on 15 Oct 06 at 3:44 pmI like it. Simple and effective.
Admiral added these pithy words on 15 Oct 06 at 6:51 pmAlthough I like the Curzon idea better, the fadeout goes very well with the night, the general theme of us coming in the darkness. You won’t see us. kb, you’re hilarious. You’ll be sorry when they’re not around to protect you from tyranny.

Yes, these are important things to be considering.kb
“You won’t see us.”
What are you doing there in the first place?kb
“kb, you’re hilarious.”
Really? Then be a good boy and tell me how.kb
“You’ll be sorry when they’re not around to protect you from tyranny.”
And you called ME hilarious? Oh, I get it. As long as I’m on the side of the invader they’re protecting me from tyranny. Incidentally, no one is trying to “get me” as far as I’m aware. And the few who are striking at Americans, a almost invisible number in terms of world population, were mostly groomed by the U.S. in the first place. Of course the Iraq debacle hasn’t helped either. And now they’re finally beginning the anti-Venezuela “terrorist threat” propaganda which most folks who I know were predicting before Chavez had even been elected. This will probably help create a few more angry folks. I’ve lived overseas for 12 years and never felt safer. My son hasn’t been shot at in school either. Virtually no police presence. Who is doing the invading, North Korea? They haven’t done anything for 50 years. On the other hand there are some folks who have. Perhaps you’ve heard, most of the entire world is slightly more afraid of them. Even your Canadian neighbors consider Bush more of a threat to world peace than either Saddam or bin Laden. I mean, just in case you were under someother illusion.kb
