Warmest Congratulations!

Many congratulations to Sir Francis Edward and the Lady Younghusband on their recent marriage!

In accordance with Royal Geographic Society guidelines we cannot disclose the actual date and location. However, I am happy to announce that Sir Francis Younghusband and his fiancee of six years were wed in the first quarter of 2006 in a ceremony somewhere between Kashgar and Bangalore.

The above photo is from the actual event. The Victorian photographs are typical-CA style, protecting the identity of the blogger who might just one day rise to become the dictator of a small Caribbean island. A generic background has been used (ala Osama Bin Laden!) to conceal the actual location.

The Lady Younghusband is a Japanese national. The wedding service was consequently part Japanese Shinto ritual and part Canada backwoods proto-Christian. No news yet on whether the honeymoon will be held in Prague, Tashkent, or Harare.

Please join me in wishing warmest congratulations to the happy couple!

If Prague, Tashkent or Harare don't work for you, I've got a timeshare in Mogadishu.

Congratulations and best wishes to YH & spouse.

Cheers all. Well, it is finally official.

FYI, the honeymoon (which is on hold while I finish my MA) will be to Turkey, then speedboat to Cyprus like a drug dealer, and finally chillin' on the beach in Greece. It could be a long way off, but I will definitely post pics.

Congratulations. I too have recently completed my own vows to my fiancee of a significantly less time (9 months) about 4 weeks ago. Thankfully though, with her being Filipino, I avoided wearing the dreaded Barong; though I wouldn't have minded a kimono (I'm a bit of a Japanophile). But enough about me, congratulations again and best of luck and blessing to your newly minted family.

Thanks for all your kind comments. And I am sorry about the wife's alien face. The images are taken from a picture of the historical Younghusband's actual wedding, which is not very high quality. My wife is actually much better looking in my biased opinion, and I don't have a big-ass walrus 'stache like that. ;)

[...] This year will be busy for dear Younghusband — between working with oil tankers in Nagoya Port and researching/writing my master’s thesis. My New Year’s Resolution is to continue training and be ready for the anniversary. And of course, work hard here at Coming Anarchy. Best in ‘07! What say you? [...]
