Slate.com is launching a new feature called Document of the Day in which columnist Timothy Noah will be commenting on “documents” submitted by readers, anonymous or otherwise. What kind of documents you ask?
White House memos, wiretap transcripts, financial disclosure forms, college transcripts, wills, e-mails, police reports, pending regulations, expense account filings””?anything sufficiently piquant to interest the lay public.
He states his wish to “define ‘documents’ as broadly as possible” but I think we know what he is looking for. This seems to me sorta like cryptome with running commentary. Don’t reporters go out to find news anymore?
