“As usual I have returned from America rather depressed by the greatness and vitality of that huge and young nation with which it seems useless for us to compete in the long run on anything like equal terms.” -Sir Igantius Valentine Chirol (1904)
That’s right, it’s that special time of year when Chirol leaves the land of sausage, socialism and snow and returns to an undisclosed location on the American east coast. I’ll be in the United States for around 18 days and back in January though posting while home. I wish everyone a merry Christmas and a safe trip if you have to travel too.

Gollios added these pithy words on 20 Dec 05 at 4:32 pmIn the interest of political correctness, I’m going to wish you a Happy Hannakah, Radical Rammadan, and Kick-Ass Kwanza as well.
On second thought, let’s hope the Rammadan isn’t so radical.
