I’m no fan of the Iraq War, but the 100,000 figure seems suspect. And the 5000 years of history being destroyed? Wasn’t that happening before Bush walked in like he owned the place?

This wouldn’t have happened if the Bush Administration had free reign to use species profiling on raccoons.

While it’s true that most of the raccoons are probably innocent creatures who are just trying to wash their nuts, but some of these vile rodents are out to take down major suburban airports.

Not to sound like the true med student/parasitology dork that I am, but there is actually some concern (terrorism scare aside) when it comes to raccoon feces. There’s a parasite (Baylisascaris) that they carry that can be transmitted to humans for which there is no cure. Granted, you’re more likely to see it in kids because they’re the ones… playing in the muck, but after working in a parasitology lab and having a Baylisascaris scare I guess I can see where they’re coming from.
