Evidently the recent DPRK National Haircut Program was less than successful

Hmm... Is it a trick of the camera that the hand-shake is much closer to Hu than Kim, and that Hu is walking much more formally than Kim?

Kim looks like an escaped old mental patient. So pretty much as good as ever...

But seriously, he does look like he is falling apart physically. Maybe that is part of the strategy in dealing with NK. Does he have something (or is he being giving something) degenerative that we don't know about?

Technically they are not war criminals, especially the fat boy. (Even though SK/NK are theoretically still at war.) If there is a real war the blimp will be as far away from the action as he can get.

Still, having said that, he is a mass murderer with a great golf game I understand.

Is this your way, lord Curzon, of telling us that you were parachuted into NK territory, from a stealth troop transport--don't deny! we know you've got them--, to put a little something-something in K.J.I.'s something-something?

OR... maybe he's a fan of Hendrix, and he's growing it out for the new Hendrix movie premiere (staring Andre3000 of OUTKAST!!!!)

tsk tsk Curzon. As Pavlov mentioned, neither are war criminals because neither have even prosecuted a war. A war criminal by definition is someone who has breeched the laws surrounding war (mostly in regards to prisoner treatment) or has commited some sort of ethnic cleansing during a conflict. While Kim has been in power for about a decade now, Hu is more recent and neither have begun any military hostilities. The worst charge that can be leveled against Hu is that he served as the Communist Party secretary of the TAR during the 1989 riots and authorized the crackdown.

Actually, I can think of a worse charge to level at Hu:

HE SHAKES HANDS WITH KIM JONG IL

Seriously, that alone should certify any world leader as a criminal or an idiot. I include "Madeleine Albright":http://cnnstudentnews.cnn.com/interactive/asianow/0010/albright.nkorea/1.albright.kim.ap.jpg just because the subway is shut down today and I'm pissed off.

[...] Lord Curzon’s post at Coming Anarchy about Hu Jintao’s trip to North Korea reminded me of this shenanigan: [...]

Yes, yes, yes. They are both guilty of crimes against humanity.

The leadership of the People's Republic of China is not your friend.

Kushibo: too bad so many South Koreans don't understand that.

Hey, it's not just the South Koreans, and that's my point. A small percentage (emphasis on SMALL) in South Korea believe that Kim Jong-il and his father are heroes. Very, very small, regardless of what the sensationalistic press likes to make things look like.

But with China, it's not just the South Koreans who seem to have amnesia. The Americans, the Japanese, the Europeans--pretty much everybody.

And since it's the Chinese who control the Pyongyang light switch, this makes all them groups culpable.

What do Junichiro Koizumi and Kim Jun Il have in common? Both share a hairstylist.
