Another Arafat Dead

If you wanted more evidence that Yasser Arafat was a disaster for Israel and Palestine, note the growing unrest in a soon to be Israel-free Gaza. Moussa Arafat, a cousin of the former Palestinian leader and a former security chief, was dragged out of his Gaza City home by about 100 masked gunmen and then shot dead. Moussa was Yasser’s hand-picked heir, chosen by the late leader to head Palestinian security.

The Popular Resistance Committees claimed responsibility for the attack, saying it killed Arafat to punish him for corruption offenses and collaboration with Israel. And the exterminaton of the Arafat dynasty isn’t over: Manhal Arafat, Yasser Arafat’s oldest son, was kidnapped during the gunbattle.

It's looking like Gaza might descend into a power struggle between militant groups. I've heard that that's what Israel expects, that with the building of the wall and withdrawal from territories, these groups will start to slaughter each other for control, rather than working together to attack Israel.
