As I mentioned yesterday, German Chancellor and full-time appeaser Gerhard Schröder spoke last night in Esslingen, a city very near to Chirol, who was at the scene. For a few photos of the event…
Also: ELECTIONS ARE A GO. (link in German) The constitutional court decided the move was legal 7 against 1. Sept. 18th is the big day.
The radical radical left appears. The sign says “The wars of aggression aren’t forgotten Mr. Schröder.” Considering Schröder is about the biggest dove you can find, they can only be talking about Afghanistan, Bosnia or Kosovo. Very controversial interventions indeed.

A few of your friendly neighborhood neonazis push their way through to get to a small group of them who proceeded to yell “Hau ab” at Schröder which means “Get lost” or “Hit the road.”

Here’s the man himself on the right, a fairly good speaker too. Neville Chamberlain would be proud. The sign above him says “Trust in Germany”

The big screen for those of us too far back to get a good look. When I say Foreign Minister Fischer a few months ago, few people came and I had an excellent seat. This time I miscalculated and was far back.
