Surrender or starve

Pirates seized a UN-chartered ship carrying tsunami aid to Somalia. The ship was carrying 850 tons of rice for people in central Somalia. We’ve seen this kind of activity before, and we have previously discussed the responsibilities of nations in combating piracy. I don’t know what else to say…

Our naval presence there should be rapidly expanding. Piracy such as this cannot be tolerated in an unstable part of the world like this, and I don't see any reason why we should pussyfoot around about it.
If we could develop better relations with Eritrea, that could help the situation as well and offer us a naval base to operate out of for anti-piracy and anti-terrorist operations. That is on Eritrea's leader at this point though. How about Kenya as well?

If memory serves, Ragnar D. was intercepting US relief ships heading to Europe.

Surely the French & Italian navies should take care of this. Tomorrow's ships could be carrying cake for the French peasantry.
