If leaving the Mainland for an early flight out, GO THE NIGHT BEFORE. There is no early bus from Shenzhen to HK. There are padded benches long enough to stretch out on, it's luxuriously air conditioned, and snacks and drinks are nearby. Transport TO the airport is the only drawback.
