Hello Customer Service

That’s right folks, in no time at all, Chirol will be back in the land of the free and home of customer service, in other words, the US. It’s time for a visit to the homeland to see family, friends, free refills, free ketchup packets and all those other important things in life. Nothing fills me with joy and excitement like stepping off the plane at the airport and having the passport control agent say “Welcome Home” before the customs people steal my good food (like Spanish ham) and incinerate it.

I feel terrible I’ve been shirking my blogging responsibilities and haven’t been able to keep up with the amazing deluge of responses that my History of Empires series has started. However, STILL no internet at home, work and getting ready to leave tomorrow has left me very behind. Here are some of the incredibly insightful responses:

Response to Chirol on 2nd Generation Empires Part I

Empires of Connectivity and Generations of Empire

CHIROL’S BLOGOSPHERIC EMPIRE

And don’t forget Part III is still in the works, I’ll try to pound it out on the flight tomorrow. Ironically, this will be the first time in the last 6 weeks I’ve had internet at home. God bless the US! See you on the other side of the pond!

CUSTOMER SERVICE?! In the US?!?

JAPAN, my good friend, JAPAN! This is where it's at in the customer service department.

And from my own travels to Germany, I can say that I greatly, greatly sympathize with you...

Sorry Curzon, JAPAN's customer service is SHITE. Maybe if you like being coddled _everywhere you go_ it may be considered as good, but if you want service _now_ then I prefer good old NA.

Damn those customs agents. Jamon Serrano is soooooo good. I doubt they incinerate it. They are probably in some back room living it up, eating it all themselves.

J Kende: I jokingly said that to the customs agents who stole my ham and they got pretty pissed...
