According to Tagesschau and Spiegel ( both German only), the Christian Democratic Party or CDU is far ahead of the SPD/Green coalition and so far in fact, that they could even have an absolute majority in parliament. In addition, if the people could vote directly for the Chancellor, 46% would choose Merkel and only 38% the current Chancellor, Gerhard Schröder.
