Straight from the cookie

The philosophy of one century is the common sense of the next.

The thing that I find most annoying when discussing politics with people (or reading editorial analyses) is blindness to 1) history, and 2) context. I thought this little tidbit from tonight’s Chinese dinner with Lady Y was interesting. Thoughts?

P.S. Before you ask, Lady Y’s said something like “You have a keen sense of humour and like having fun.” A little less profound.

Ohhhhh... Fortune cookie. For a second I thought your "cookie" was Lady Younghusband and you were airing your dirty laundry on the blog.

But yeah, that annoying platitude makes no sense at all. Burn it!
