Anjoman-E Padeshahi Iran?

Anjoman-E Padeshahi seems to be some sort of pro-Shah/anti-Mullah group of Iranian expatriates out of London. There most recent activity was in Brussells, where they encamped on a Lufthansa jetliner [saying] they wouldn’t leave until the United States and other nations signed a pledge not to help Iran’s ‘Islamic regime of mullahs.’.

“We want these leaders to stop supporting terrorist regimes any longer . . . to get rid of this Islamic regime or any kind of radical brutal religious movement from Iran,” said Ira, who said he was an American national and a psychiatrist from New York.

Check out their website, the music is brilliant. And the symbology heavily emphasizes pre-Islamic history (lots of lions, Zoroastrianism, and absolutely no Islamic references), a very Shah-like thing to do. They also seem to have started a radio broadcast, but there isn’t any info online yet.

If anyone knows anything more about this group please fill us in.

Check this link about their TV program and related death threats from mullahs:

http://www.discardedlies.com/entries/2005/01/if_any_country_is_ready_for_leaving_islam_it_is_iran.php

The mullahs are hard at work to try and discredit the leader of the movement with wild rumours and death threats. The music on their website is Ricardo Stauss's "Thus Spoke Zarathushtra".

Hi friends, thanks for stopping by ComingAnarchy.com and reading my fellow blogger's post on Anjoman. Could you give us some more information? Does Anjoman want to restore the Shah? Establish a Persian republic? What does it see as Iran's future? Please let us know and we'll be sure to publicize the movement more!

Warmly,
Curzon

I'll start with some background:

Iran (Persia) has one of the oldest histories in the world (maybe the oldest) and our glorious past is based on our glorious Kings like Cyrus the Great (who wrote the world's first human rights declaration that is posted on the United Nations head-quarters in NYC and King Darius and Xereres. The history of our country starts with King Kiyoumars (estimated to have lived 4000 to 5000 B. C. so 6 to 7 thousand years ago). Our most revered piece of literature that connects us to our pre-Islamic past is called Shahnameh (the book of Kings) written by a farmer that lived 11 Centuries ago named Ferdowsi. It deals with Persia's pre-Islamic history in general but there is a special emphasis on Iranian Kings and Monarchy. There is so much more. We had the earliest female rulers in the world like Queen Homa, Pourandokht, Azarmidokht, etc. Many people see Monarchy as the one thing that connects us to our glorious pre-Islamic history.

With that background in mind, if we were to fast-forward to today... All (when I say all, I mean all, with no exceptions) of the various so-called "Republican" groups in Iran rallies behind Khomeini in 1979. They continued to support the Islamic Regime by rallying behind mullah Khatami and their sham Islamic reforms. Most of the republican groups had either Islamic or Communist streaks and their objection to the previous Shah was mostly rooted in the fact that he showed an affection to Iran's pre-Islamic glory while trying to appease the Islamic groups too. Despite the fact that they accused the Shah of being a dictator (he didn't let them carry out Islamic terror acts and all of a sudden he was a dictator who took away their freedom).

With that background in mind, Anjomane padeshahi advocates a Monarchy and they praise the late Shah's efforts to bring back Iran's pre-Islamic glory. And up until a few years ago, the leader of this group was a staunch supporter of the return of the exiled prince. But then things started going sour... The group started their TV station in London four years ago, giving a watered-down version of the same stuff they say on TV today about Islam. The Prince sent out a statement saying that this station is "disrespecting Islam" and should not "offend the clergy" and basically that he doesn't support them because of their harsh tone against the mullahs. Needless to say the group's leader was furious over this declaration that was published in one of Londond's Persian Newspapers. Anjomane Padeshahi says that the exiled prince does not have the guts to stand up to these mullahs and Islamic terrorists and is a very bad option for Iran. The prince has been under a lot of criticism lately from people who supported him ever since last year the Prince met with Khomeini's grandson (who is also a mullah and is currently living inside the Islamic Republic, happy and healthy). And recently he supported the founder of the Islamic Revolutionary Guards under the pretense that "if we believe in democracy then we must include everyone, blah, blah, blah". Since no one else from the Royal family has shown an interest in the future of Iran, Anjomane Padeshahi now advocates the start of a new dynasty with the first monarch being chosen by the people after the removal of the mullahs. This will be based on whomever showed to be the bravest and most deserving of the title. They have written a new contitution that outlines the duties and responsibilities of the new King/Queen, we well as Prime minister, members of parliament, and other governement officials etc.

Keep in mind that I'm not a member of Anjomane padehshai. I only watch their TV show and donate money to keep the TV station. I don't know everything and I'm only giving you what I have heard.

I would sure like a translation of this one. All I got is:

_Hello_

_I one member "jadid" am_ [I think _ozv_ is _member_, I don't know what the hell "jadid" is... ]

Then I think he is asking about something he read about Anjoman. I can't remember where _kha_ [_mi-kha-m_] comes from... "ask" maybe?

Then rest is lost on me. I _really_ need to learn Farsi.
