More than 500,000 civilian volunteers armed with batons will be allowed to arrest illegal immigrants in Malaysia when an amnesty against prosecution expires tomorrow. Oh yeah, Malaysia’s population is about 24 million, so we’re looking at 2% of the population signed up for this program! And all to search for an estimated 500,000 illegals, predominantely from Indonesia, giving each Malaysian (licensed!) vigilante a quota of one illegal immigrant.

Dear Lord, can you imagine 2% of the civilian population signing up for that kind of duty in the US? 5+ million angry rednecks roaming the streets in search of illegals. I bet they’d end up clubbing everyone with the last name of “Hernandez,” “Kim,” and “Yang.”
