The Republic of Korea has dropped the words “Main Enemy” in their description of North Korea in the upcoming publication of the Defense White Paper. The DPRK will now be referred to as a “direct and substantial military threat.”
Not coincidentally, Secretary of State Rice made sure to publically label the DPRK an “outpost of tyranny” just hours after the ROK announced publication. President Roh and his ilk might be going soft, but I’m glad to say that President Bush and his ilk ain’t.
