But perhaps more interesting news is happening at the Syria border, where the government is using bulldozers and heavy machinery to construct a 12-foot trench and numerous observation posts to stop insurgents from slipping into Iraq. Sorry, slipping wasn’t the word… the trench is to stop “foreign fighters flowing into Iraq.” U.S. administration officials have accused Syria of intentionally letting Islamic militants enter Iraq. Maybe it wasn’t intentional, but at least they’re now doing something about it.
