I’ve been scratching my head over this for some time. Why is the EU taking the lead in negotiating an end to Iranian nuclear research? It’s probably a positive thing even though the US has been being loud about saying that this is not enough and that Iran must comply with the IAEA, but some of this might be for show. I highly doubt anything positive will come of this—the Coming Anarchy inspired pessism in me worries that Iran is probably just stalling for time ala North Korea circa 1994. But, considering that Iran getting its paws on nukes would probably spark a greater war in the Middle East, this is not an unwelcome outcome.

As some of you may or may not know, compatriot Younghusband will be heading off to Iran in a few short days. Perhaps he can give us some first-hand insight when he comes back.
