Maoists attack US centre in Nepal
The US information centre in Kathmandu was attacked by suspected Maoist insurgents on 10 September when two homemade hand grenades were thrown over the perimeter wall.
No one was injured in the attack, which occurred shortly after the centre had closed for the day, although there was some physical damage caused. According to Constance Jones, US spokesperson at the centre, one toilet was destroyed.
